When Angie and I realized neither of us had been to LA and that there was a Harry Potter World there, we decided to make it our first post-Europe adventure together. We hit all the highlights: In-N-Out Burger, Harry Potter World, Griffith Observatory, Venice Beach, and the Hollywood Walk of Fame. We drove up the coast to El Matador Beach and visited The Broad museum in downtown LA, which houses Yayoi Kusama's Infinity Mirrored Room, "a mirror-lined chamber housing a dazzling and seemingly endless LED light display." I only had 45 seconds on the floating platform, surrounded by lights and reflections, but it was a truly infinite experience.
